Christian Pastor Retreat is tucked away on the Cumberland Plateau of Tennessee at 1600'. We are located in northeastern Tennessee about 15 miles from Kentucky. We have three retreat cabins and are open all year.

Our guests can stay at the cabins and enjoy the solitude of country quiet on the nine acre tree lined proprty, sit in their porch swing or read a book in the gazebo. Children are welcome and we have a large variety of sports equipment, ping pong table, and a toy room filled with toys, books and puzzles for both girls and boys.

The cabins are within five miles of both Pickett State Park and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. Swimming is available at both parks as well as hiking. Pickett State Park has fishing, canoes for rent and tennis courts.

Our area has many free things to do. We have a suggested donation of $150 for the week, but if a family cannot afford a donation they are always welcomed. Once in awhile we are able to sponsor a family with travel money so they can finally have a vacation.

Relaxing atmosphere
by: Doug Sharrard

My family joined me for a week's stay in this remote Tennessee cabin. It's a wonderful place to relax for a couple, or a very economical place for a pastor's family to vacation. It has all the conveniences except television, internet and AT&T cell phone reception. It's very child friendly with numerous toys, books, games and playground equipment. I loved listening to the birds sing as I drank my morning coffee on the porch, watching 3 spotted fawns graze in the yard in the afternoon and seeing the bright stars at night. Wood was provided for evening campfires. The couple who own the place are very friendly and willing to make your stay as comfortable and trouble free as possible.

If a pastor was looking for a place for his/her extended family to vacation (up to 18 people), rent both cabins. The bunk room attaches the front cabin to the rear cabin which made it very easy for my daughter's 2 and 3 year old to come visit grandma and grandpa.

We are already looking forward to going back.
