Should Your Former Pastor Serve as Your Interim Pastor?

by Isaac

If your pastor steps down can he/she serve as interim pastor? If so what role does he/she play in your day to day operations?

Very Awkward
by: Editor - My-Pastor.com

It seems to me that if the pastor who just resigned serves as your interim pastor no one would be motivated to look for a new pastor - they already have the one they want. Additionally, people would feel very awkward talking about or getting excited about a new pastor if the previous one is still there.

None of this means that it absolutely can't work. I just don't think it would work very well.
