Energizer Bunny Ain't go nuthin' on PJ
by: Eric

I first heard about PJ from some friends who attended FBC in Duxbury. I brought my kids to his VBS program, to special youth events, and at least one of my kids came to Christ at a VBS Pastor Jim was running.
The thing that has always amazed me about Pastor Jim, is that he is always in "On" mode, with the power level turned to "11". Does he just get run down and "crash" sometime? I don't know. Never seen it after years, and years.

I appreciate your tireless work, your diligence to the Bible, and efforts above and beyond the call of duty Pastor Jim. :)

Refreshing!
by: Elder Steve

Based on Philemon 7 "Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints."

Pastor Jim is the kind of man any of us would want to have as a friend and Brother in Christ. He is a man of love and faith (Titus 3:15); after all, a love for the brethren is the best evidence of faith in Christ.

Verse 7 indicates that Philemon was a ?refreshing Christian? and the kind of man others appreciated.

In the same way, working with "PJ" as he has been affectionately known, has been and is, refreshing and encouraging. I AM LOOKING FORWARD to the Days Ahead as we embark on 40 Days of Love.

I LOVE MY PASTOR!
by: Donna Lee Nellius

I am blessed to not only have Pastor Jim as my beloved Pastor but also as my best friend, Mentor but most blessed of all my partner for life. I thought I would never find a man on this earth who would demonstrate the qualities he possesses ie. such patience, acceptance, gentleness, (he can't even kill big brown spiders when his wife runs screaming) he instead befriends them, I digress, he is filled with so much love, kindness.......I think his congregation summed it up best when describing him as having the qualities God looks for most as described in 1 Corinthians 13. Jim is currently preaching on LOVE the Very Big and terrifying word which we all fall so short in expressing but so desperately need more & more of in these most trying times we live in. Not worldly Love but the God kind of love that puts others first and pulls others up out of the muck & mire (they) or life has put them in! That is my hubbie and Pastor, I thank my God always and forever for the gift He gave us when He brought him into my life and into this world to Preach & Teach His Glorious Good News!

Pastor Jim is truly a man of grace and has shown this grace to all of us. He has stood strong in the storms that come against him--he keeps plugging along and does not give up. I am proud and thankful to have him as a good friend and brother.

Thank you God!
by: Fred & Deb Byrne

I asked Fred "How would you describe Pastor Jim?". Being a man of few words he responded, "How could anyone?" "There are no words." I had to chuckle admitting the truth of his simple answer. Or is it the opposite of the truth? There just are not enough words to properly describe him. We decided to sum it up in one word taken directly from the Apostle Paul, "LOVE"! Instead of beginning the reading of Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 13, "Love is . . ." we decided for anyone to get to know our beloved Pastor, all you have to do is start that same reading; Pastor Jim is . . . patient, kind, does not envy, does not boast, is not proud. Pastor Jim is . . . not rude, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrong. I could continue on, but thanks to Pastor Jim's AWESOME teaching, I believe we are all quite familiar with Paul's description of love. And those are the words to perfectly describe our very own Pastor Jim. We are blessed to be under such a loving, caring, giving, Godly man. He is a great shepherd and teacher. Pastor Jim Nellius ~ we thank God every time we think of you!!! With great affection, and appreciation, Fred and Deb Byrne

My comments...
by: Niki

Pastor Jim's amazing energy and amiability was one of the reasons I came to Faunce to begin with, which ultimately led to me coming to Christ. He also baptized me, which was an amazing experience.
