How Do We Write an Announcement for the Newspaper?

We have such a great pastor! We were holding services in a hall but God blessed us with a building in January. Things are going so good! But because of previous problems we need to repair our church's reputation. We would like to do a pretty good size write up in the newspaper for people to see that we have a wonderful new pastor and to announce pastor appreciation because he deserves it so much. I'm not the best at writing things up... could you please help me?
