He pastors Universal Christian Holiness Church, Nashville, TN. He is the most patient, gentle, long suffering person. In may ways he is just like a father to me. Always accessible, although I'm sure the responsibilities of being a pastor/bishop are tremendous for him! A POWERHOUSE of the anointing and grace of God!

What's most important is he teaches the congregation the word of God. The scripture states that our "...faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word" (Romans 10:17) and "... how shall they hear without a preacher" (Romans 10:14). Also, "I will give you pastors according to mine own heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding." (Jeremiah 3:15) He TEACHES it! He breaks it down into it's very simplistic components, and makes it so easy to understand and comprehend. Besides, it's the Word of the Living God, and must be administered to the believer under the anointing and direction of the Holy Spirit. He seeks the Lord for what to say, and the Lord rewards him by giving him a right-now word for right-now situations.

His personal life is one of godliness and integrity. He strives to do all things in the spirit of excellence.

His wife (First Lady Joyce Settles) also assists him in many ways, and is an extension of all that God has called him to be. She serves the people of God to the FULLEST -- her life is dedicated to seeing the people of God enriched and empowered; also that they realize that it's not just enough to praise Him, but to SERVE Him as well.

My hat is TOTALLY off to two God given individuals who have been so instrumental and necessary in my life, serving in the TRUE capacity that God has placed them in to serve.
