Transitional Pastor

by Vickie Warren
(Dallas, TX USA)

Should one ask the same interview questions of an interim pastor that you would use in the selection process for a full time pastor?

ANSWER: Typically the interim pastor is not put through the same process as a full time pastor. That's because the church usually hires an interim who is well-known to the congregation. However, I would say that if your church does not know the potential interim pastor at all, then there does need to be a serious question and answer period to determine his fitness for your church.

i totally agree, you most importantly want to know more about this Pastor, before allowing him to come into your church.
