You just fell on my mind this morning, I believe God put you on my heart. I started to look for the church number but saw this. As you know I am in New Orleans and I don't see Steve so no one told me. However, I am so sorry for your loss. I know that you have been through a lot but I know that you will come through this too. Ms. Carla Y. Henry Allen passed away quietly with family and friends by her side at a private facility in Atlanta, GA. on February 1, 2013.

Ms. Allen’s Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at 1pm at Bellevue Baptist Church (326 W. Bellevue Street Opelousas, LA 70570)
Visitation for family and friends will be from 7am-10am at Williams Funeral Home (817 E. South St.) Opelousas, LA

We worked in the same department with Carla during the Morial administration. She was a beautiful person, and working with her was a pleasure. Although it has been years since we have seen her, she left us with fond memories of her caring personality, and we were saddened upon hearing of her passing. God bless Pastor Allen who gave her life to the ministry of God and her family. She was a dedicated soldier for God who gave her entire life unselfishly to service others. She will be missed by many. Her spirit and love for God that she spread to everyone she had come in contact with will continue to grow by all the encouraging words she spoke to people. She would always say spread the word of God to others, be a vessel for the Lord.

Her love for God was in her being she always knew through adversity God would see you through. Now she is in heaven singing God's praise and is sitting among the angels continuing to do the good work of the Lord.

I had the pleasure of having Carla serve as my administrative assistant from 1994 until she progressed through the Morial Administration where ultimately she moved over to the Housing Authority of New Orleans. Carle was a gem!

After moving to Georgia more than 1 year ago, I searched for a new church home. It had to be warm, friendly, spirit filled, bible teaching and soul saving oriented. After praying to the Lord about this matter, he sent me to New Life Ministries. I knew that this would be my church home after I entered the church and listened to the man of God-Pastor Glenn B. Allen. He teaches the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for a great pastor who truly cares about the members of his church. Co-Pastor is a very approachable person who brings joy to the room with her smile. I am greatful and thankful for such a wonderful blessing that I have found. God bless Pastor Allen and his family with long life and abundant blessings. We love you!!
