Clergy Mini-Sabbaticals - One Day Retreats

Realizing that ministers often have shorter times available and need brief times of nurturing all through the year, two ministers have joined together to offer quarterly "mini-sabbaticals" as a way to bring a sabbatical day of renewal for clergy primarily in the Colorado & Rocky Mountain region. The mini-sabbaticals are offered 3-4 times a year, and one location in the Denver area allows a participant to extend from the mini-sabbatical for additional 24-hour silent retreats at a reasonable cost.

Here is an idea of how we think about and structure a Mini-Sabbatical.

Crazy co-workers ...

You are urging others toward a richer, fuller spiritual life. Yet you find little time to nourish your own.

Join Rev. Jane Anne Ferguson and Rev. Elizabeth Denham Thompson for one of the quarterly mini-sabbaticals designed to refresh and renew your spirit ... maybe even have a little time for play.

Using lectionary scriptures as the foundation for each day, the mini-sabbaticals include storytelling, silence, journaling, and creative activities. Sharing and eating together provide a full but spacious sabbatical day for ministers from a variety of settings.
